A protest against cuts to home help services will take place in Sligo on Thursday.
Home help workers across the region have organised the demonstration to oppose proposed cuts to home help hours in Sligo and Leitrim.
The group will meet at the Markievicz House in Sligo at 1 pm where they will deliver a petition in support of home help workers to the HSE's offices.
SIPTU has been highlighting the issue in recent weeks and numerous meetings have been held throughout the region as part of its campaign to defend home help services.
Brian O' Boyle from the People Before Profit Alliance, is urging people to come out in support of the protest.
