Gardaí appeal for witnesses following serious N4 collision



A motorcyclist in his 40s is in a serious condition in hospital after being airlifted from the scene of a road crash on the N4 in Longford town on Saturday afternoon.

 

 

The motorcyclist sustained serious injuries as a result of a collision with a car along just off the Red Cow roundabout at around 4:30pm.

 

 

Gardaí and emergency services attended the scene and tended to the injured motorcyclist before he was airlifted to Tallaght Hospital.

 

The driver of the other vehicle involved in the collision was uninjured.

 

Gardaí have launched a public appeal for information to determine the cause of the crash.

 

Anyone who may have been travelling in or around the N4 at Aghadegnan at the time the incident unfolded is being asked to come forward.

 

Any motorists who may have dashcam footage taken from the scene of the incident to make it available to investigating gardaí.
