Thanks to Quinn Fix Garage Carraroe Sligo they have given us a €200 voucher to spend on anything in their garage - tyres, servicing, timing belts, exhausts, brakes etc - even use it off a secondhand car.

When Francie Boylan's boss said that he was going to take over the Afternoon Show on Ocean FM, Francie felt weak. So after he came too he thought how the hell could he fill 4 hours on his tod? So he didn’t! He sought the help of Michelle Gildea and David Murtagh who co-presents the show with him. The 3 of them have a mixture of local and national stories, comedy, competitions and interviews with the big stars, well when we say “big stars” it’s usually with David Moore from Astronomy Ireland about big stars!
Occasionally famous people do drop in for a chat and you can see some pictures above. The Lazy Afternoon is a show driven by the listener - So each day the guys have something different to get their teeth into while you get your teeth around your lunchtime sandwich.
Have a listen someday and say hello!

Francie Boylan hails from County Leitrim. He presented The Den on RTE with Dustin and Soky before he managed to spectacularly bring down “the national treasure” that was The Den.
After leaving that trail of wreckage in his wake he took the first train from Connolly Station to Sligo and started to work for Ocean Fm. He’s still in contact with Dustin and the rest of The Den crew and he regularly has his old sparring buddies on the show.
He has presented/filled in on most shows on Ocean FM. From the Breakfast Show (too early), the Magazine show (too much talk) to Hospital requests (too much....well you know!). He moved to present Drive Time on a fulltime basis in 2007 and then this January (2012) he moved to Afternoons on Ocean FM. He also works on the production side of things i.e voicing and making adverts.
Michelle Gildea and David Murtagh are both from Sligo. David joined Ocean FM on working experience and we’re still trying to figure out a way to get rid of him. Michelle started her broadcasting career working with North West Radio before moving to Ocean FM on a part time basis. She still works on a part time basis except she’s getting paid for been here full time! Only joking! Michelle works on the show 3 days a week and when she’s not here she is minding her twin boys Charlie and Ben.
