Drumm says HSE progress is being made
Sligo’s Brendan Drumm, the Health service’s Chief executive says progress is being made across a range of areas in the HSE.
Mr Drumm’s comments come amidst fierce criticism over his position regarding the transfer of Breast cancer services from Sligo to Galway.
Nevertheless The Oireachtas Health Committee has been told that 2008 was a good year for reform of the Irish health service.
Mr Drumm and The Minister for Health Mary Harney, have been updating the committee on measures to improve efficiency within the system.
The HSE chief executive says many areas in the health sector have made vast improvements.
