Deputy Devins to find out fate
The fate of the former Junior Ministers including Sligo’s Jimmy Devins will be decided by Taoiseach Brian Cowen later today.
The 20 Ministers resignations came into effect from midnight, as part of cost cutting measures introduced in this month’s supplementary Budget.
Of those, fifteen will be re-appointed with the five being let go reportedly set to receive a huge compensation package.
The Taoiseach Brian Cowen is expected to confirm the list of names after this morning’s Cabinet meeting.
Deputy Devins previously held the position of Minister of State for Science, Technology and Innovation.
