No debate on roads cutbacks at council meeting
There was anger amongst some Donegal County Councillors yesterday as the contentious issue of road funding cutbacks did not get debated at the council’s monthly meeting.
The multi-million euro cutbacks had been expected to top the meeting agenda however the issue was placed under county manager’s business.
As a result the matter was mentioned, but was not subject to debate.
Fine Gael Cllr Terence Slowey says he was very disappointed that the issue was not given the chance to have an in-depth discussion.
Plans to hold a special meeting on the topic are now being put in place.
