Higgins ‘embarrassed’ by FF stance on cancer services
A Sligo Fianna Fail councillor has admitted that he’s embarrassed by his Party’s stance on the issue of the retention of cancer services at Sligo General Hospital.
Cllr Albert Higgins says he has made his views on the matter known to the party hierarchy.
Speaking on Ocean FM’s local election candidate debates for the Sligo-Strandhill area this morning, Cllr Higgins said there was no reason why Sligo General Hospital should not be designated as a ninth centre of excellence for cancer treatment.
