IFA meet outside Sligo TDs office
Farmers are protesting today over the closure of the REPS scheme 4.
The Government has stopped accepting new applications to the subsidy scheme,
but existing participants will continue to receive payments for up to 5
years.
The Irish Farmers Association is organising protests outside the constituency
offices of government TDs across the country including an Taoiseach’s office
in Tullamore.
Kathleen Henry , IFA Secetary of the Sligo Branch spoke to Ocean FM this morning about the upset of Sligo farmers.
She asks all farmers to come out and support the IFA today at 2 o’clock outside Fianna Fail TD Jimmy Devins office on John Street in Sligo.
