Sligo Chef delivers baby outside restaurant
A Sligo chef has this morning been sharing his experience of single-handedly delivering a baby outside his restaurant yesterday.
Ger Reidy, owner of Laura’s bar and restaurant in Carney said he had to act quickly as panic ensued when a heavily pregnant woman went into labour.
The woman was in the process of being rushed to hospital but fears that there wasn’t enough time meant they had to stop at the restaurant.
The Sligo Chef who has no medical experience then delivered the baby girl, and said that the situation demanded some swift action.
