Health Minister confirms co-located hospital will go ahead
The Minister for Health has confirmed that plans for a co-located hospital in Sligo will go ahead.
Speaking in the Dail this afternoon Mary Harney gave an update on the progress of the hospital co-location programme.
Her comments come following recent speculation that the facility to be built in the grounds of Sligo General would not go ahead.
The Minister confirmed that a proffered bidder had been selected for the 117 bed premises.
Speaking on the plans for the 6 hospitals in the programme she outlined at what stage the projects are at.
