Bundoran premises promised for youth project

Bundoran Town Councillors have agreed to back the local Neighbourhood Youth Project in securing a dedicated premises in the town.

The NYP works with young people and their families in both Ballyshannon and Bundoran.

St Patrick’s Hall had been their Bundoran base until recently when the hall could no longer be used due to health and safety reasons – leaving the long-term future of the project in limbo.

The town council is currently in the process of buying St Patrick’s Hall and it was agreed at this week’s council meeting that once the centre is in their ownership, the NYP can consider it their Bundoran base.

NYP youth worker Maura Gallagher says they have been delighted by the town council’s offer.
