Donegal Town teen pleads guilty to assault

A Donegal Town teenager who threw a glass bottle in another boy’s face leaving him with permanent scars has been sentenced to 18 months detention with 12 months suspended at Dublin Circuit Criminal Court.

18-year-old Christopher Hull of Marian Villas, Donegal Town, grabbed the bottle from his friend’s hand and threw it at the then 15-year-old boy during a brief altercation in Dublin on May 21st 2007.

Hull pleaded guilty to assaulting the boy, who was a complete stranger, at Park West Avenue in Dublin 12.

The boy spent two nights in hospital following the bottle attack and underwent plastic surgery on his face.
