Emergency health cover being finalised for strike
IMPACT trade union is this week finalising emergency health cover ahead of a national strike later this month.
Many health, education, civil service and local authority work will be withdrawing their services for 24 hours on November 24th.
In the North West, IMPACT has already set up strike committees of its public service branches across Sligo, Leitrim and Donegal, where local strike arrangements are said to be well underway.
IMPACT’s Richy Carrothers says the only way back now is if Government actually engages with public service recommendations on future pay and employment conditions.
