Reception for Dr Ian Paisley due to begin
A reception for the Reverend Doctor Ian Paisley is due to get underway in Tubbercurry shortly.
The former First Minister of Northern Ireland is being honoured by the Cathaoirleach of Sligo County Council, Cllr Gerry Murray for his contribution to the peace process.
It’s part of a day two visit to Sligo on foot of an invitiation extended by Banada Development Association.
The reception which will also be attended by local public representatives is due to begin at Teach Laighne in Tubbercurry at half past eleven.
Following the reception Dr.Paisley will visit the Banada Peace Park, where a monument is set to be unveiled.
