Call for support schemes for smaller business

Sligo North Leitrim Fianna Fail TD, Eamon Scanlon is calling for an extension to the temporary employment subsidy scheme.

He wants to see the iniative geared towards manufacturing businesses which employ more than ten people, adopted to take into account smaller businesses.

Deputy Scanlon said that the hotel, motor and smaller manufacturing businesses need support and asked the Minister for Enterprise to consider such a scheme.

Speaking in the Dail he added that all measures need to be taken to protect smaller, indigenous companies.
