North West MEP to raise ” Henry handball” in Parliament
A North West MEP will today raise the on-going fall-out over Ireland’s World Cup Qualifier in the European Parliament.
Pat The Cope Gallagher says he will be raising the ‘unfair’ manner by which the French secured victory last Wednesday.
Mr Gallagher says he is urging the French Football Association and FIFA to replay the match in the interests of fair play.
FIFA ruled on Friday that a replay would not be going ahead in the fall-out over the handball by Thierry Henry which led to the crucial winning goal for the French side.
