Track inspection expected on Sligo-Dublin line

Rail passengers are still facing disruptions today.

Bus transfers are still in place between Carrick on Shannon and Longford as part of the line remains flooded.

The transfers have been in place since last Wednesday and it’s not clear when the route will get back to normal.

However Iarnrod Eireann has confirmed that a track inspection will take place this afternoon.
