Two appear in court over Garrison shoot-out

Two men have appeared in court charged with the attempted murder of a student police officer in Garrison at the weekend.

The charges follow an undercover police operation on Saturday when a shot was fired at officers.

Police returned two shots however nobody was injured.

32-year-old Kevin Barry Nolan with an address in Blacklion in County Cavan and 26-year-old Gerard James McManus with an address in Letterkenny appeared at Dugannon Magistrates Court earlier today.

Both men were remanded in custody.
