Flood levels in Leitrim recede slightly
Flood levels in Leitrim are starting to recede slightly today.
Diversions still remain in place however on roads in Carrick on Shannon and in Leitrim Village.
Leitrim County Council has reiterated that the ESB have no intention of undertaking any activity at Lough Allen that would risk increasing flood levels.
Leitrim County Council has also said there is no risk to the water supply in the Carrick on Shannon or the South Leitrim area.
The clean-up of the devastation wreaked by floods in Leitrim is continuing today.
State Minister Martin Manseragh is due to visit the worst-affected areas in the county next Tuesday.
