Protestors demonstrate on O’Connell Street

About 30 protestors gathered on O’Connell Street in the last hour for the latest demonstration against the re-opening of the street to traffic.

Gardai re-directed traffic as the demonstrators blocked traffic for about ten minutes.

It’s the second such protest since the main street re-opened to traffic on the 9th of December last among some opposition.

It re-opened to one lane of traffic following three years of pedestrianisation.

Those opposed to the move have vowed that their campaign of opposition will continue.
