Man due in court following Stranorlar arrest
A man in his 40’s will appear before the Special Criminal Court this morning after being arrested trying to evade a Garda checkpoint in Donegal on Tuesday.
He was one of four men who ran off when their car was stopped by Gardaí in Stranorlar on Tuesday night.
The other three managed to get away, prompting a cross-border search and check-points being mounted county-wide.
Two firearms and four cars were seized as part of a Garda investigation into the incident.
The man is due in court at half past ten this morning.
