Rovers beat Bray 1-0 in friendly

Sligo Rovers have beaten Bray Wanderers by one goal to nil in a pre-season friendly played in Dublin on Saturday afternoon.

Midfielder Richie Ryan got the only goal from a free-kick, as boss Paul Cook got another chance to see some of his trialists, including Derek Foran, John Cass, Paul Whelan and John Dillon, in action.

A Rovers XI will face Strand Celtic in a friendly match on Sunday.
