McBrearty confirmed as by-election candidate
Another candidate for the Donegal South West by-election has been confirmed.
Labour Donegal County Councillor Frank McBrearty was chosen as the party candidate at a selection convention in Ballybofey on Friday night where he was the only nomination.
The Raphoe-based publican has said would work to take Donegal from what he has described as the “economic wilderness” if elected.
Cllr McBrearty is the latest in a number of candidates to throw their hat in the ring for the currently still-dateless by-election sparked by the election of Pat The Cope Gallagher to European Parliament last June.
