Enda Kenny will be Taoiseach:Perry
The Fine Gael front-bench is meeting this morning to assess the damage in the wake of George Lee’s shock resignation.
Sligo North Leitrim TD John Perry has been affirming his confidence in the party leader however.
George Lee stepped down from both the Dáil and as TD for Dublin South as he felt he had been frozen out from being part of shaping the party’s economic policies.
He also signalled there were rumblings within the party over Enda Kenny’s abilities.
Deputy Perry said the current Fine Gael leader is one of the best the party has had in years and he believes Deputy Kenny will be Taoiseach.
