Green light for Nazereth House project

Funding has been sanctioned for forty-nine units at Nazereth House in Sligo to cater for elderly and returning immigrants.

Minister of State for Housing Michael Finneran has included the project on a list that can proceed this year with funding ring-fenced.

Sligo Borough Council initially submitted this project in 2005 for 51 units of accommodation and a communal facility.

A revised application was later submitted for 49 units and adopted.
