Deputy Perry calls for development of Irish US relations

Sligo North Leitrim TD John Perry has outlined the importance of developing  relations between Ireland and the US.

The Fine Gael Deputy has called for continued funding in education programmes between both countries.

Speaking in the Dail on the issue he paid tribute to the existing Washington/Ireland programme which has seen 300 Irish graduates.

He said its critically important for both countries that strong links are maintained.
