BreastCheck to extend screening area
BreastCheck is extending its screening area to a wider catchment across South West Donegal.
Co-operating for Cancer Care North West has today said The National Breast Screening Programme has began inviting women between the ages of 50 and 64 from areas including Ardara, Fintown, Glencolmcille, Glenties, Kilcar and Killybegs for their free mammogram.
The service, which was rolled out to Donegal in October of last year, has almost completed the screening of women living in Donegal Town and surrounding areas.
The BreastCheck mobile digital screening unit is located in the grounds of Donegal Public Service Centre at Drumlonagher, just outside Donegal Town.
