Deputy pledges support for Sligo traders
Sligo North Leitrim Fianna Fáil TD Jimmy Devins has pledged his support to a campaign launched by Sligo retailers to alleviate the current crisis facing local businesses.
An emergency meeting last week heard various traders speak out on the tough trading conditions they currently are enduring.
On foot of this a working group including representatives from trade unions, Sligo Chamber of Commerce and the Fair Dealers campaign was set up to find a way out of the recession.
Deputy Devins has commended the work of all involved and vowed to assist in any way he can.
