2 arrested following suspected headshop arson attack
Two men have been arrested after a suspected arson attack on a headshop in Sligo town.
The fire broke out shortly after midnight at the ‘Yutopia’ adult store on Connolly Street, which also sells ‘legal highs’.
Several units of Sligo Fire Service were called to the scene, along with Gardai.
It’s believed an item was thrown a window of the shop, igniting the blaze.
There was nobody inside the premises at the time although the retail outlet did sustain interior damage.
The two men, aged 21 and 31, are being held at Sligo Garda station for questioning.
