Volunteers sought for Daffodil Day

An urgent call is going out today for volunteers in South Donegal to take part in the Irish Cancer Society’s Annual Daffodil Day.

This year the Society has set a target of four million euro to fund free nationwide patient care services.

Volunteers are running low in South Donegal and the public is being asked to give up a few hours of time to come out and collect on Friday 26th March.

Edel McDevitt is the Irish Cancer Society’s community fundraising co-ordinator.

She said the money raised goes directly back to services for cancer patients and their families.
