One of the largest falls in house prices reported in Donegal
One of the most significant declines in house prices across the country is being reported in County Donegal.
It comes as asking prices for residential property around the country fell by 4.2% during the second quarter of 2010, according to the latest report published by property website Daft.ie.
The national average asking price for property has fallen 37% since the peak and now stands at €220,000.
The largest falls in the country were in Donegal, Cavan and Monaghan, where asking prices fell by an average of 11%.
Meanwhile in Sligo, the average asking price in the second quarter of this year was €195,000, a fall of €89,000 from the peak. While, average house prices in County Leitrim now stand at €156,000.
