7% absentee rate at Sligo General Hospital

The HSE's internal monitoring service, Healthstat has revealed an absentee rate of almost 7% for Sligo General Hospital.

It follows revelations that Sligo General Hospital has been listed as one of the top five hospitals with the worst absenteeism rates in the state.

The highest absentee rate was within the nursing department at the hospital with levels reaching almost 8%. This was followed by the general support department at just under 8%. While, the other patient and client care services department stands at just under 7%. The lowest absentee rate was evident in the medical and dental department at 4%.

Ennis General Hospital has the worst absenteeism rate in the state for May at 9 per cent.
