A Ballyshannon Town Councillor is calling on the HSE to outline how many bed closures have occurred at the Sheil and Rock Hospitals in Ballyshannon.
Fianna Fail Councillor Pat O'Malley submitted a question at a recent meeting of the Town Council calling on the HSE to outline the number of beds which have been shut
In a statement a spokesperson for the HSE says the Rock Community Nursing Unit operates with 22 beds while the Sheil Hospital operates with 33 beds.
However, Councillor O'Malley says this does not answer his question.
He wants the executive to address the issue again because he claims the beds are being closed by stealth.
