Bank Holiday exodus begins

Thousands of people will be on the move later - as the Bank Holiday weekend mass exodus gets underway.

Gardaí say they'll be out in force on our roads - clamping down on speeding, drink and drug driving and other motoring offences.

109 people have been killed on the country's roads so far this year - that's one more person then this time last year.

Traffic Inspector for the Sligo Leitrim Division Gerry Connolly says they will be out in force over the weekend.
