Calls for centralised jobs in Tubbercurry

Added: 21-05-2012

A Sligo Fianna Fail Cllr is calling for the new centralised driving licence administration to be moved to the Department offices in Tubbercurry.

Speaking at a recent meeting of Sligo County Council, Cllr Jerry Lundy asked that as the driving licence section was moving from the local authority that these jobs be moved to Tubbercurry instead of the Road Safety Authority's office in Ballina.

Cllr Lundy also queried if the removal of the driving licence administration from Sligo County Council would result in any job losses for local authority staff.

He says a letter will be sent to the Minister regarding the issue.
