Calls for upgrade works at Manorhamilton graveyard

There are calls for Leitrim County Council to provide funding for improvement works at St Clare's graveyard in Manorhamilton.

Community activist, Mr Gabriel Mc Sharry says people must be able to visit the graves of their family and loved ones without the fear of falling on poor, uneven and dangerous surfaces.

He is urging elected councillors for North Leitrim, to ensure that the required resources and funding is put in place for improvement works.

Mr McSharry says given the price the local authority charge for these plots they should at least be accessible to family members...
