Campaign to support young Donegal boy

Added: 05-07-2012

A fundraising campaign has been lunched in support of a young boy from Donegal who suffers from a rare genetic disorder.

Three Year old Oran Nibbs from Letterkenny was born a Mitochondrial Disease, a rare progressive genetic disorder.

The disease means he can't walk, talk or crawl and funds raised from the campaign will go towards improving his quality of life.

A cycle from Mizen Head in Cork to Malin Head in Donegal is being organised this month in aid of the Oran Nibs fund.

His parents, Ashling and Colm Nibbs are originally from Sligo but now live in Letterkenny.

Speaking on the North West Today programme Mrs Nibbs explains how people can help.
