Donegal County Council has responded to reports in the media which have suggested that the Council will not be releasing the full details of the €90,000 evaluation of the Whole System of Work.
Media reports recently indicated that the information would not be made available to either the public or members of the Council.
In a statement issued on behalf of the Local Authority today, a spokesperson for the council says the report is misleading and the Council wishes to clarify that an expenditure of €90,000 was approved by Council to carry out a test of the Whole System of Work.
The statement goes on to say that the council endorsed a recommendation at the meeting on the 25th June 2012 to initiate a procurement process for an independent evaluation of the test and decided that a further report should be submitted to the Council for consideration when the procurement process is completed.
The question of releasing details of the evaluation at this stage does not arise since no evaluation has been carried out.
The Council says it will not be issuing further statements on this matter at this time.
