Donegal Senator Brian O’Domhnaill is hitting out at the government claiming it has no intention of taking ‘ability to pay’ into account in the changes being made to the property tax.
Brian Ó Domhnaill was speaking after the opening of the Seanad debate on the Finance Bill 2013.
He says the government is still insisting that a family with anything more than €480 gross per week is not entitled to defer the property tax liability.
Speaking in the Seanad, Mr. Ó Domhnaill says this legislation will cause severe hardship.
