Minor League Review
Last Thursday evening the minor league got under way in section 1 with Naomh Mhuire hosting St Johns. In a low scoring match it was the visitors who started the season with a win.
On Friday night also in section 1 there were good wins for Four Masters and Kilcar who overcame Bundoran and Naomh Brid respectively.
In section 2 last Friday night Naomh Conaill had a convincing win over St Nauls, Ardara overcame Dungloe and Aodh Ruadh travelled to Glen and came away with the points.
Minor League Preview
Tonight (Wednesday) round 2 of the league continues with 5 games up for contention.
In Section 1 St Johns host Kilcar with both teams having good wins at the weekend this should be a close contest.

Bundoran travel to Naomh Brid with both teams looking for their first win after losing out at the weekend.

In section 2 Naomh Conaill travel to Dungloe after their good win over St Nauls will be full of confidence. Dungloe are looking for their first win.

Aodh Ruadh host Ardara with both teams winning their first match this will be tight to call. Home advantage will prove vital.

The final game of the night will see St Nauls host Naomh Columba with both sides looking for their first win.

Division 2 Under 14s Gets Under Way
The under 14s division 2 league gets under way with 3 matches up for contention. Naomh Columba host Naomh Brid, Naomh Ultan host St Nauls and Kilcar host Killybegs.
All matches throw in at 7pm tonight(Wednesday).
Under 16s Review
The under 16s round robin part of the competition was completed during the week with the semi-finals now sorted out.
In division 1 the draw is as follows;
Killybegs v Ardara Date:23/04/2012 @ 5.30pm Venue: Dunkineely
A Ruadh v N Conaill Date:23/04/2012 @ 7pm Venue: Dunkineely
In division 2 the draw is as follows;
N Columba v N Naille Date:23/04/2012 @5.30pm Venue: Glenties
Na Rossa v N Brid Date:23/04/2012 @7pm Venue: Glenties.
The division 3 Final will be contested between Kilcar and Bundoran. Date to be confirmed.
Under 16s Championship
Last Monday evening the preliminary first round matches took place in the under 16s division 1 & 2 championships.
In division 1 a first leg home victory for Killybegs against Ardara with Naomh Conaill gaining a draw away to Dungloe.
In division 2 Naomh Brid and Na Rossa won against Bundoran and Naomh Columba respectively.
The second legs of these matches take place on Monday 7th May.
The 1st leg game between Aodh Ruadh and Four Masters takes place this Thursday night at 7pm in Ballyshannon. Referee is Ryan Walsh.
Under 12 Blitzes
Last Monday evening the first of the Go Games under 12 blitzes took place.
In Dooey hosts Na Rossa competed with teams from Ardara, Naomh Mhuire & Kilcar.
Dunkineely was the venue for Pettigo, Four Masters, St Nauls and host Naomh Ultan.
Aodh Ruadh were the hosts with Naomh Brid and Bundoran.
The final blitz took place in Glenties who hosted Killybegs, Naomh Columba and Dungloe.
The southern board would like to thank all the host clubs for the use of venues and facilities and to the young whistlers who refereed on the night.
