Donegal Mart to be officially opened

The newly refurbished Donegal Mart will be officially opened this week.

Ireland West MEP Marian Harkin will perform the opening this Friday.

There was some concern expressed amongst local farmers that there may be potential changes to the methods of payment to sellers of livestock, however, Donegal Mart says that there will be no changes.

Local clergy will give a blessing at 12 noon, this will be followed by a special weanling sale where major shippers will be in attendance at 12.30 and the sale will get underway at around 3pm.
