Regional Og Sport Finals
Last Saturday in Dooey the regional Og sport finals took place with 9 teams competing for the title.
In a competition of high quality football Naomh Conaill came through the round robin phase of the tournament and met Dungloe in the final. Nothing between the two sides again but it was the Glenties men who came through to lift the title and go forward with last years winners Na Rossa to this years County Final.
The southern board would like to thank host club Na Rossa for the pitch, facilities and the excellent help they provided on the day.
Naomh Columba Under 14s Champions
Dunkineely was the venue last night as Naomh Columba and St Nauls battled it out for this years under 14s division 2 championship title.
Ive seen a lot of under 14s matches this season and by a mile this has been arguably the competiton of the season.
The quality of football that these two teams showed last night was second to none. St Nauls proved to strong for the Glen men in the league competition and went into this game as deserved favourites.
Championship football as in all the grades has thrown up results favouring the under dogs and again here this result proves that .
Naomh Columba won by 4 points to take the title back to Glen.
The southern board again would like to thank Naomh Ultan for the use of the pitch and to the officials on the night.

The County Og Sport Finals take place next Monday 27th August in Gweedore. 4 teams will take part,Gweedore, Na Rossa,Convoy and Naomh Conaill. Fixtures are as below
