Donegal supporter dies following match

A 24-year-old Donegal supporter has died after falling into a canal in Dublin.  

Andrew Duffy from Termon was out celebrating Donegal’s All-Ireland semi-final win.

It’s understood that he and a friend were making there way to were they were staying when he slipped and fell into the canal at Binn’s Bridge in Phibsboro.

The incident happened at around 11.45 last night. 

The Termon GAA players body was taken to the Matter hospital in Dublin where he was pronounced dead a short time later.

Gardai at Mountjoy are investigating the incident which is understood be a tragic accident.
