Funding announced for North Leitrim

The Minister with responsibility for the Office of Public Works, Brian Hayes, has announced 78,000 euro in funding for flood relief in North Leitrim.

€22,000 is to go towards the construction of an embankment at the Bonet River in Dromahair; €25,000 and €20,000 respectively for channel cleaning work at Greyfield and Killargue.

The allocations have been welcomed by Sligo-North Leitrim Deputy, Tony McLoughlin.
