Gardai carry out door-to-door enquiries following house fire in Kinlough

Gardai are carrying out house to house enquiries following a house fire in Kinlough in north Leitrim overnight.

Emergency services were alerted to the incident shortly after 2am last night.

The sole occupant of the house, a man in his late forties, was taken to Sligo General Hospital for treatment for smoke inhalation.

He has since been released from hospital.

The fire started at the front of house which was seriously damaged in the blaze.

It's understood there have been a number of incidents of anti-social behaviour in the estate recently.

Gardai are currently conducting a forensic examination of the scene.
