A Series of meetings are set to take place around the North-West to plan events for the Gathering 2013.
The Gathering Ireland is an initiative where Irish people invite anyone with a connection to our country to come and visit.
The aim of the meetings is to encourage people to think about what gatherings they could organise for the special event and who they can invite from overseas.
Sligo already has six gatherings confirmed for 2013. While, Donegal is organising meetings throughout the county to give everyone an opportunity to put forward their ideas for the event.
The meetings will take place on Monday 24th September in the Sligo Park Hotel and in Donegal on Wednesday September 26th at the Lough Eske Castle Solis Hotel at 7pm respectively.
North West Gathering Engagement Officer, Maire Aine Gardiner says the Gathering will make 2013 a special year for Ireland.
