Man dies in motorbike crash

A man has died following a motorbike accident in Ballygawley Co. Sligo last night.

The crash happened at around 8.23 pm when the motorbike he was driving hit a ditch at Doonamarray.

The 26-year-old was taken to Sligo General Hospital where he was pronounced dead shortly before 10pm last night.

The road is closed from Castle Dargan to Kilross National School this morning pending a Gardai forensic examination and diversions are in place.
