North West projects to benefit from funding

A number of Sligo & Leitrim projects will benefit from new funding announced to protect vulnerable structures.

 

The funding of 14 thousand euro will be used to carry out vital conservation work at Manorhamilton Castle, Co. Leitrim and Ahamlish Church of Ireland, Grange, Co. Sligo.

 

The funding has been announced by the Minister for Arts, Heritage and the Gaeltacht, Jimmy Deenihan under the Department's Structures at Risk Fund.

 

Fine Gael Senator, Michael Comiskey says the funding is a great boost for the local area and is extremely important to protect our heritage sites
