Members of the public are being advised not to be concerned about getting the flu vaccine in pharmacies after it emerged more than 12 hundred people were given the incorrect dosage.
From last year, pharmacists were allowed to administer the vaccine, which had previously been distributed during flu season by GPs.
But, an investigation was launched after a pharmacist noticed documentation on the vaccine packaging differed from the dosage recommended to pharmacists during video training.
Donegal Pharmacist Rory O'Donnell, who is also President of the Irish Pharmaceutical Union, says Irish patients can have confidence in their pharmacists.
