Rovers sign midfielder

Sligo Rovers have confirmed the capture of Ryan Connolly for the remainder of the season.

The former Derby County midfielder will join Rovers on July 1.

Connolly has also had a spell with Ayr United andrepresented the Republic of Ireland at several underage levels.

The 20-year-old said: “I’m very happy to sign with SligoRovers. They are one of the leading clubs in the country and I’ve been veryimpressed with what I’ve seen so far.

“The training facilities are excellent and I want to hit theground running and try to make my mark. I know it’ll be difficult, there is agreat bunch of lads here and I’ll have to work hard to get my chance andimpress the manager.”
